A note to the class of 2020

Graduation bells ring through the air. As we celebrate with every graduating student across the world, I thought I'd share a note to the class of 2020 that I would have wanted to receive myself.

To the class of 2020:

Going into the world is more challenging now, than most times. Here are some lessons to carry with you as you change the world and the next generation.
Never lose faith. In your hopes and dreams. In the good in humans. Life may teach you differently. Remember the lessons that matter. There is still good in us humans!
Never give in. To the disappointments you may meet. To what you know is wrong. Build financial independence, so that you never need to sell your soul.
Never stop learning. About yourself and others. About your work and passions. When the learning stops, the music ends.
Never lose touch. With your teachers and classmates. With your family and friends. Be an oasis, not a mirage, to all you meet. And look out for other oases in your life.

I would be remiss if I did not give a special nod to international students everywhere. For you, it is particularly difficult during this time. Hold your head high, you made it this far! What helped you along your journey, will never leave you now.
